Let’s get creative.
Benson is now an official Creative District!
In June 2022, Benson was designated as Omaha’s first Creative District! With this designation, we hope to attract and retain creatives in the community and continue the creative spirit that keeps Benson “Good Weird.”

Mission
Our mission is to advance creativity and economic vitality in the historic Benson community.
Vision
Our vision is to elevate artists, amplify Benson’s creative spirit, and serve as a hub for creative enterprise and expression in the Midwest.

We value grassroots ideals and hold space for all creatives to innovate freely.
Opportunities for Input and Involvement
We are inviting all district stakeholders to complete our 10-15 minute SURVEY. Input gained from the survey and public meetings will help guide the Benson Creative District Council in identifying a collective vision for the community.
Another Benson Creative District Council’s (BCDC) community forum will be coming up in fall 2023. Check back for more information!
